<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">To A3F Supporters,<div><br></div><div>Can you believe it's been almost 4 months since the 4th Annual <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">Almost Famous Film Festival 48 Hour Challenge</font> concluded. What a night that was at AMC Theatres in downtown Phoenix! Sold-out crowd of 465 indie-film enthusiasts watching and cheering on the <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">Top 20</font> teams. We had musicals, drama, comedies and even a film starring puppets! And it's tough to forget the after-party at 1130 The Restaurant which made for a great end to a season-long series of <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">incredible film events</font>.</div><div><br></div><div>A lot has changed in the months that have passed. We applied and received our <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">non-profit status</font> from the state of Arizona and now are just waiting for our letter of recognition from the IRS. Our newly formed non-profit, <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">A3F Incorporated</font>, will be an integral part of the community with <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">scholarships</font> for film and writing students, <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">workshops</font> and <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">seminars</font> for film students and filmmakers, and eventually an A3F media center in 2010. We are truly excited to have the opportunity to <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">give back</font> to everyone who has supported us during the past 4 years.</div><div><br></div><div>We realize thought that the staple of our festival is our timed challenges and we haven't forgotten those!</div><div><br></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">• We are hosting Arizona's first-ever 72 Hour Challenge October 10-13! Registration for this exciting new event opens July 1. </font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000"><br></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">• Our 2nd Annual International Short Film Festival arrives in February 2009. Registration for short films 1-60 minutes is now open on the A3F site.</font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000"><br></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">• Our 5th Annual 48 Hour Short Film Challenge kicks-off February 13-15, 2009 -- this is Arizona's largest and most successful 48 hour challenge!</font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000"><br></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#000000">And we are introducing one of the most creative new events for the indie-film scene!</font></div><div><br></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">• The A3F Music Video Challenge launches July 1 and will be one of the coolest events around during our hot summer months! This is a challenge not to be missed!</font></div><div><br></div><div>So as you can see, several <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">new opportunities</font> for you to gather your writers, actors and actresses, crew and gear and make some films! Also, the A3F has the <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#800000">lowest entry fees</font> in town, almost half of other festivals, but we still give away more prizes, goodies, personal attention and fame than anyone else around.
