2008 A3F 48 Hour Short Film Challenge!
Twenty-one teams have signed up so far for this year's 48 Hour  
Challenge!  The early-entry deadline is January 18 (this Friday) so be  
sure to go online and register to save $10 off your entry fee.  The  
kick-off party will be at Majerle's in downtown Phoenix on February 15  
from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Will we match last year's record of 82  
teams?  Register and find out!

A3F International Short Film Festival!
With over 70 submissions from across the world, the top 17 films were  
selected to screen on Feb. 13-14 at the inaugural A3F Short Film  
Festival.  In addition to these entertaining shorts, we will be  
showcasing Arizona-made shorts (titles to be announced this week)  
along with the best of the A3F 2005-07!

Five World Premiers!
International Films from Canada, Italy, The Netherlands and US!
Emotional and Informative Documentaries!
And much more!

We are honored to premier to the world, "Sympathetic Details" by  
Benjamin Busch, an actor on HBO's critically-acclaimed series, "The  
Wire."  Benjamin is scheduled to attend the festival and will be  
conducting a Q&A after the screening.  We also have the director and  
associate producer from a film titled, "Code 7" attending as well.   
And on the 13th, Lisa Thompson who directed and shot the documentary,  
"This African Life" will be premiering her film and available for Q&A  
as well.

February looks to be an exciting month of independent film and a  
celebration of the talented filmmakers who make all of this possible!

2008 Cinema Slam
Lisa Thompson is hosting Cinema Slam "Park City" in a couple of  
weeks!  Lisa will be camped out in Park City for this year's Sundance  
Film Festival premiering all sorts of films, including a couple of A3F  
Filmmakers' shorts from Brian Skiba and Laurie Love (Victory Angel  
Films) and the winning film from last year's 48 Hour Challenge,
