To All,

We are now 4 hours into the 4th Annual A3F 48 Hour Short Film  
Challenge!  The evening started off with an absolutely packed  
Majerle's 9 Lounge in downtown Phoenix for the always exciting kick- 
off party.  Over 200 people anxiously waited for the guidelines to be  
revealed so they could start on their 48 hours of no sleep!

An even 60 teams are entered in this year's challenge and in my  
opinion, this is the most talented group of filmmakers to ever enter  
an A3F event.  I believe the competition will be grueling but the Top  
20 films will be some of the best movies to ever screen.

Theme: Miscalculation
Prop: A Key.  One or more characters must turn/use a key.
Line of Dialogue: Are you sure that's it?

There was supposed to be a "Mystery Guideline or 4th Guideline" but we  
decided to pull it out this morning as we felt it took away from your  
48 hour experience.  So just the above mentioned 3 guidelines!

Remember to really base your story around the Theme and make sure to  
incorporate the Line of Dialogue and Prop into your films.  Be  
creative and think outside-of-the-box!

If you are in the Phoenix area (including all suburbs) you must drop- 
off your films at Majerle's in downtown Phoenix from 5:30p.m. to 7p.m.  
on Sunday (24 North 2nd St. Phoenix, 85004).  Late films will be  
disqualified.  Out of town filmmakers may submit electronically by 7  
p.m.
