24 Hour Challenge
The countdown to the kickoff of the A3F 24 Hour Short Film Challenge
is on! In just under three weeks, teams of filmmakers will be
hurriedly scrambling around various locations attempting to make a
1-5 minute film in just 24 hours! Should be interesting and lots and
lots of fun! 28 teams have registered so far!

Remember, there is no pre-event kickoff party ... the guidelines for
the challenge will be revealed on the A3F web site and in an email
blast at 12 noon on Saturday, October 6. There will be a Post Party
though at 12 noon on Sunday, October 7 at Zoes Kitchen, the drop-off
location where all local teams must turn in their films. Please be
sure to bring along your cast and crew for this exciting chance to
revel in your team's accomplishment, listen to live music and eat
some delicious food! More details to come...

A3F Workshop
The planned workshop for this coming Saturday is postponed until
later this fall. Although we received a good response, we feel it's
a little rushed and would like to have more teams involved. Look for
an Acting, Directing, Pitching, and Writing workshop later on this year.

Sponsors
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful
sponsors who have supported the A3F in the past and continue to
assist our current challenges. CDROM2GO, AVR Rentals, Zoes Kitchen,
Phoenix College Creative Writing Program, O'Reilly Digital Media, AMC
Theatres, Undergroundfilm.org, Vinylwerks Screenprinting, Circle-S,
and IB Audio. For great deals on products or services from these
sponsors and more, please visit http://www.thea3f.net/sponsors.php.

A3F All-Stars
The All-Stars Challenge kicks off October 5. Details for the
revealing of the guidelines, location and more will be announced
shortly. Tickets for the screening of this event will soon be
available on the A3F web site. This promises to be the "Hottest
Ticket" in town!

A3F Short Film Festival
Remember, the A3F is hosting its inaugural short film festival in
February. If you have a 1-60 minute film in the genres of comedy/
drama, animation, documentary, horror/sci-fi or foreign laying
around, send it in for consideration so you can possibly become
Almost Famous!

Sincerely, Jae
