[Almost Famous Film Festival Announcements, PR]

I was asked to pass this along for those of you who are wanting to  
enter a 48 hour challenge this summer...This is not an A3F event, but  
a part of the national 48 Hour Film Project.  Good luck!

The Phoenix 48 Hour Film Project Competition and Screenings

The 48 Hour Film Project gives filmmakers the chance to showcase  
their talents in an original and creative form.  It also provides  
exposure for the filmmakers and their films.

A premiere of all the completed films will be held on July 26 and 27  
(7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.) at The Paper Heart Arts Venue, 750 NW Grand  
Ave, Phoenix, 85007.  This event
is open to the public for an admission price of $8 per screening.

Phoenix films are eligible for city-based awards such as Audience  
Favorite, Best Sound Design, Best Editing, Best Acting and Best  
Cinematography (to name a few).  One team will ultimately
be selected as the Phoenix City Winner, and will go on to compete in  
the international competition for a grand prize of $7,500!  In  
addition, the Phoenix City Winner will be eligible to compete in the  
Panasonic/48HFP HD Showdown, which offers a Panasonic HD Camera as  
the grand prize.

Only 4 team slots are left, so ACT NOW!  Teams must register online  
and pay their $148 fee prior to the Kick-Off event, which begins at  
6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20.
